W.J. Hinman Jewelers
since 1881
W.J. Hinman Jewelers was founded by two Hinman Brothers from Knoxboro, New York who were watchmakers. After a number of years, Altha Hinman purchased the business from her father and eventually sold W.J. Hinman Jewelers to her sister Ethel Cross. In 1957 Jack Wallace purchased the business that has remained in his family for forty-three years. Two of his children, Guy and Tari, who have been actively involved in the business for 19 years, took over the reins when Jack retired in January 1992.
Throughout its 120-year existence, W.J. Hinman Jewelers has strived for customer satisfaction whether it pertains to a jewelry purchase, jewelry repair, remounting of diamonds and precious stones or catering to customer special orders. Every purchase or service, such as same day ring sizing for Hinman customers purchasing rings, has always been backed by W.J. Hinman Jewelers' steadfast philosophy of good customer service "after the sale". Always offering a broad selection of fine jewelry at the lowest price everyday also eliminates the need for W.J. Hinman Jewelers to conduct a sale. It maintains its deep-rooted company belief that "you get what you pay for...good value, affordably priced!"
The current owners, Guy and Tari, feel fortunate to have the opportunity to manage a local ongoing family business and find it a pleasure to serve the many loyal customers W.J. Hinman Jewelers has earned over the years. They invite you to "stop in and do business with familiar faces...we will do our best for you!"
